Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell rose to fame as a member of "Saturday Night Live," before appearing in big-screen comedies such as 'Elf,' 'Anchorman' and 'Talladega Nights.' In 1967, in Irvine, California, Will Ferrell launched his career in comedy by being a part of the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, group the Groundlings. The seven-year stint as Saturday Night Live's cast member helped him become one of the biggest comedians in the film industry. He was famous for off-color hits like Anchorman The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004) and Old School (2003). Ferrell was also the co-founder of the popular streaming website Funny or Die, and enjoyed success as a voiceover actor in animated films such as Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16, 1967. The youngest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell and teacher Kay Ferrell, Will was--by his own admission, not the class clown as an undergraduate at University High School. Ferrell was calm and quiet, decided to make his mark on football, where he set a school-record for the most made field goals. Ferrell did not display the outrageous, humorous outbursts which would make him famous later in his career although he was in the suburbs of comfort.
