American actor Courtney Thorne Smith was born on the 8th November 1967. Her roles include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim, and Lyndsey McElroy's role in Two and a Half Men. Thorne-Smith was born in San Francisco, California, and was raised in Menlo Park, a suburb south of San Francisco. Her father, Walter Smith, was an expert in market research using computers, and her mother, Lora Thorne, was a psychotherapist. Courtney was just seven years old when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents for a variety of times. Jennifer is her elder sibling is an ad executive. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. She also performed for the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley as she was in high school. Thorne Smith's debut movie role was in the 1986 movie drama Lucas. The film was co-produced by Winona Ryder (Corey Haim) and Charlie Sheen. In the late 1980s she was also featured in a variety of films which included Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). She was a part of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, the Chairman of the Board. In 2009, she starred in Sorority Wars. In the 1990s, Thorne-Smith dated Andrew Shue, her on-screen lover from Melrose Place. In June 2000, she tied the knot with Andrew Conrad, a geneticist. The couple split in the month of January. Roger Fishman, the president of Zizo Group marketing and author of What I Know, was her husband. Aged 40 she had her first child on January 11 on the 11th of January, 2008 to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
