Susan Sarandon Bio

It was 1968. Democratic Convention, and there was a casting request for a movie with many roles for young people who disrupted it. Joe (1970) was auditioned in New York by two recent Catholic University graduates. Chris Sarandon, who had studied to be an actor, was not selected by the casting committee. His wife Susan received a big role.That role was as Susan Compton, the daughter of an ad executive Bill Compton (Dennis Patrick). Dad Bill kills Susan’s drug dealer boyfriend. Then, Joe (Peter Boyle) is a bigot who works in an assembly line and collects guns, is a friend to Susan. Five years later, Sarandon creates the film. Janet is a transvestite who gets involved with the mysterious Dr. Frank n Furter (1975). More than 15 years after beginning her career Sarandon was finally active in a campaign for a starring role in the film Annie in Bull Durham (1988), traveling herself from Rome from Rome to Los Angeles. She stated "It was an amazing script... it removed a number of myths and challenged America's notion of what success is". "I went to the studio with Kevin Costner and shook hands with his gorgeous assistants, before returning to the plane. Her romance with the Bull Durham (1988)) supporting actor, Tim Robbins, had given birth to two sons in 1992 and placed Sarandon in the position of leaving her domestic paradise only to accept roles that truly challenged her.
