Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born 10 January 1986. She is an English television model and personality. She was the second-place winner of Britain's Next Top Model (cycle 2 in 2006) and she was the winner of series 11 on Strictly Come Dancing (2013). In 2015, she has been Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born on July 7, 1965, in Liverpool. She is the fourth of four kids of Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. Clancy was raised in Woolton (a suburb of Liverpool) and was a student at St Mary's Primary and St Julie's Catholic High Schools. Clancy formed the girl band Genie Queen and was managed by Andy McCluskey, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was one of the 13 finalist on Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model, which included her competing for 10 weeks to win a contract as a model. Clancy was able to make it to the runway show with another contestant Lianna Fowler, eventually becoming the winner. Clancy has appeared as a model in many newspapers and magazines following his appearance on Britain's Next Top Model. In May 2007, Clancy appeared on the cover of Arena magazine, and modelled the Triumph Bonneville Motorbike. Clancy was selected to be featured in the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated 2010. Clancy was featured for her sporting relationship with Peter Crouch and was photographed in the magazine with only body paint to appear as if she was sporting the England shirt, shot by Yu Tsai. Clancy was featured in a campaign by Umbro sportswear, wearing an England shirt. She was also photographed with other footballer's wives and girlfriends from countries that have been crowned winners of the World Cup. Clancy was a model for the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear Giles Spring 2011 collection. In July 2013, Clancy was a model in the campaign for London designer Hasan Hejazi. The campaign included a fashion editorial shot by Absynth and a fashion documentary directed by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy was also featured on the August 2011 UK Esquire cover. Photographer Solve Sundsbo took Clancy's photo. Clancy together with Suki Waterhouse (and Cara Delevingne) was featured in LOVE magazine's December 2013 Advent Calendar. Clancy made her debut on the cover British Marie Claire's July 2014 issue and British Elle's March issue. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch her daughter, also known as Sophia Crouch, collaborated with Lipsy (a London-based fashion label) to launch their AW'19 collection. The collection was began to be launched in the UAE in January 2020.
