Jessica Marie Alba (American actress and businesswoman) is Jessica Marie Alba. She started her TV and film careers at thirteen in Camp Nowhere, and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). At age 19 she ascended to prominence as the lead actress in Dark Angel (2000–2002), for the which she received an Golden Globe nomination. Her big screen breakthrough came in Honey (2003). She quickly became an established Hollywood actor and has appeared in many box office hits such as Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). 9] She has been often a collaborator with director Robert Rodriguez, having starred in Sin City (2005), Machete (2010), Spy Kids: All the Time in the World (2011), Machete Kills (2013) and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014). Alba was a part of Spectrum's action-crime series L.A. Finest from 2019 until 2020. Alba co-founded The Honest Company in 2011. The company offers a range of consumer goods such as personal and household items. Numerous magazines, like Men's Health, Vanity Fair, FHM, and Men's Health have featured Alba in their lists. Jessica Marie Alba was born to Mark David Alba and Catherine Louisa Jensen in Pomona, California on April 28th 1981. Her maternal grandparents, both Mexican immigrants, are of Danish, Welsh German, English and French descent. Joshua is her younger sister. The third cousin of her, who was once removed, is writer Gustavo Arellano. The father of her Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before returning to Claremont, California, when she was nine years old. Alba says that her family is a traditional, conservative, Catholic, Latin American family. She calls herself liberal and says that she identified as a feminist as early as five years old.
