Jessica Marie Alba (American actress and businesswoman) is Jessica Marie Alba. She started her TV and film careers at thirteen in Camp Nowhere, and The Secret World of Alex Mack (1994). At age 19 she ascended to prominence as the lead actress in Dark Angel (2000–2002), for the which she received an Golden Globe nomination. Her big screen breakthrough came in Honey (2003). Jessica Marie Alba was born to Mark David Alba and Catherine Louisa Jensen in Pomona, California on April 28th 1981. Her maternal grandparents, both Mexican immigrants, are of Danish, Welsh German, English and French descent. Joshua is her younger sister. The third cousin of her, who was once removed, is writer Gustavo Arellano. The father of her Air Force career took the family to Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before returning to Claremont, California, when she was nine years old. Alba says that her family is a traditional, conservative, Catholic, Latin American family. She calls herself liberal and says that she identified as a feminist as early as five years old.
